LONDON, UK, 7 September 2026 – TradingHub, a leading provider of trade surveillance technology for global financial institutions, today announced the appointment of Rob Hammond as Managing Director, Head of Platforms. Based in London, Rob will lead initiatives to expand the adoption of TradingHub's surveillance capabilities across its global customer base and support strategic platform engagement with many of the world's largest financial institutions.
Rob joins TradingHub with more than three decades of experience across financial markets, trading, surveillance and market oversight. Most recently, he served as Global Head of Front Office Conduct and Surveillance at BNP Paribas, where he was responsible for overseeing surveillance and conduct frameworks across the bank's global markets business. Prior to BNP Paribas, he spent six years as Global Head of Markets and Wholesale Banking Surveillance at HSBC and previously led fixed income products at CME in London.
As Managing Director, Head of Platforms, Rob will focus on helping customers maximise the value of TradingHub's listed surveillance capabilities, supporting strategic discussions around surveillance consolidation, and representing TradingHub across the global market through customer engagement and industry events.
"Having spent much of my career on both the front-office and surveillance sides of the industry, I've seen first-hand the challenges firms face in identifying genuine risk without overwhelming teams with noise," said Rob Hammond. "TradingHub has built a reputation for approaching surveillance differently, using a deep understanding of how markets actually operate to deliver more meaningful outcomes. Having worked alongside the firm as both a customer and stakeholder for many years, I'm excited to join the team and help customers strengthen their surveillance programmes while navigating an increasingly complex regulatory environment."
Shayne Ganeson, Chief Customer Officer at TradingHub, said: "We're delighted to welcome Rob to TradingHub. Few people in the industry bring the breadth of experience he does, spanning front-office leadership, surveillance and conduct risk across some of the world's leading financial institutions. Having worked at the heart of surveillance programmes for many years, Rob has a deep understanding of the challenges firms face as markets become more complex and regulatory expectations continue to evolve. His expertise, credibility and practical perspective will be invaluable as we help customers strengthen their surveillance capabilities and realise greater value from the TradingHub platform."
Rob's appointment reflects TradingHub's continued investment in industry expertise and customer partnership as financial institutions seek more effective approaches to detecting market abuse, reducing false positives and meeting evolving regulatory expectations.
