Founded in 2010, we have grown a united vision shared between two people to a team of over 140 across London, Toronto, New York and Hong Kong. We have achieved scale by building the best-in-class surveillance tooling, offering market-leading trade data analysis in the following areas: Market Abuse; Operational Risk; Best Execution and Anti Money Laundering. Our customers are made up of Leading investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, commodity houses, and brokerage firms (collectively representing over 20 trillion dollars of AUM).
Though we have developed in the trade surveillance arena we have always been more than that. At heart, we are a finance-focused big data firm. Our goal is to continue creating the world’s leading financial markets analytics platform.
The Opportunity
We are looking for STEM graduates who want to be at the forefront of an incredibly exciting industry by enrolling in our graduate scheme. This is offered on a permanent contract basis, so once you successfully complete the graduate programme you will have the opportunity to continue building on your skills and experience at TradingHub.
Our induction with bespoke learning paths and regular face-to-face training will involve bringing you up to speed on our products, teaching you our internal programming language, and making sure that you have all other necessary technical expertise and professional skills. You will gain experience working with large datasets and financial modelling, which includes development opportunities across the full stack. However, we take a “learn by doing” approach where, as soon as possible, you will be assigned real tasks and will be adding value to the company.
This work would appeal to graduates with a genuine interest in financial markets and a broad knowledge of computer science who like to continually learn new things and do not mind dealing with rapidly changing priorities and projects. This is an opportunity to join and learn from enthusiastic, like-minded engineers to work on exciting projects with a real-world impact.
There are a variety of engineering teams at TradingHub. Some provide external services to our clients, and some provide services internally to other teams. The product development team is responsible for our external facing products: MAST, TEAM, and AMLA . The Fabric team is responsible for our internal tooling. This includes our internal software language, Sozy, which uses a SQL-like syntax with C# injection. We also have teams responsible for the ingestion of Client Data, Market Data, and producing risk and pricing models. Our Market Data team is responsible for the intake and initial processing of data from financial markets, such that it can be used by TradingHub further downstream in the creation of our products. Day to day the role includes building and maintaining pipelines for data feeds as well as coming up with creative solutions to problems as they arise. The pricing team is responsible for creating financial pricing libraries, as well as risk/pricing-related algorithms to be utilised across TradingHub’s platform.
